For those of you that have just discovered us, NCT Isle of Ely is a small branch of the National Childbirth Trust , supporting parents and parents-to-be in and around the Ely area. We offer a wide range of services and activities, including:
Bumps, Babies & Beyond
This baby and toddler group meets on the first Friday of each month from 10:00 - 11:30am at the Methodist Church Hall in Ely. There are always people to chat to over a cup of tea and a slice of homemade cake. A variety of baby and toddler toys are available, along with art and craft activities for pre-schoolers. During school holidays, your older children are welcome too and age appropriate activities will be provided. Breast feeding is welcome and bottle-warming facilities are available. Entry is currently FREE.
Nearly New Sales
We usually hold two Nearly New Sales each year, in April and October. Here you can buy and sell Babies' and children's clothes, nursery furniture, baby equipment, toys, maternity wear, refreshments. Antenatal Classes
From where to give birth to knowing when your contractions are really getting underway, NCT antenatal classes are a great way to find answers to all your questions about labour, birth, being a very new parent and looking after and feeding your new baby. To book call 0844 243 6175.
Breastpump Hire
You can hire a breastpump from our local NCT breastpump agent for £1.40 per day (reduced rates for families on income support and for hospitalised babies). For more infomation please contact Megan via Facebook, by email, or by calling 0844 243 6175 and selecting the option for breastpump hire.
Help feeding your baby
If you have questions, concerns or need support about feeding your baby, you can speak to Megan, our local breastfeeding counsellor, whether you are exclusively breastfeeding or using formula milk. Breastfeeding counsellors have had extensive training, will listen without judging or criticising and will offer relevant information and suggestions. Megan can be contacted on Ely 610885

Our branch is run by volunteers. We are mostly parents with young children working from home which means we are not always available. Please be considerate of meal/bed times if you telephone us, and allow a few days for us to respond to emails. This includes our agents such as bra fitters, valley cushion and pump agents, and also our breastfeeding counsellors and peer supporters.
